Allied Health Manager

Care Forward is a locally owned and operated organisation, specialising in health and homecare services designed to support the independence of older Tasmanians and people living with chronic conditions or disabilities.

For 25 years we’ve been providing care and support to people in their homes across Tasmania. Our dedicated and passionate team includes nurses, allied health professionals and home independence support staff – all working to support and restore independence, health and wellbeing to thousands of Tasmanians across the State.

About You

You are an enthusiastic and dedicated professional with a real passion for improving the lives of our consumers and supporting a team of health professionals to deliver quality consumer care and support. With the ability to work autonomously and lead your team, you will thrive in this interdisciplinary environment. You are adaptable, enjoy meeting new people and working in a variety of settings.

Key Purpose

To provide leadership, motivation and day to day operational management of the Allied Health team.

Location of Role

The role is able to be performed at either our Hobart, Launceston, Devonport or Burnie office locations.

Salary Range

$112,256 to $143,813.

Core Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily operations across all Care Forward Allied Health Programs statewide.
  • Guide and direct staff to work within the scope of practice of each discipline and the Clinical Governance Framework.
  • Work with the Care Forward Management Team to monitor output targets and support team members in utilising systems to manage these as directed.
  • Other tasks assigned by your Manager.

Essential Requirements

  • Current registration with the appropriate Allied Health professional body.
  • Team management experience in the health or community sector with preferable experience in the aged care sector.
  • High level verbal, written and interpersonal communication/relational skills.
  • Clinical leadership skills and ability to establish and maintain a strong, positive and supportive ethos within the team.
  • Proven ability to identify, liaise, consult, innovate and establish effective and efficient clinical/service practices.
  • COVID-19 Vaccination x 3 doses.
  • Two (2) professional referees, preferably from most recent employment or educational institution.
  • National Police Certificate obtained within the last three (3) month.
