Dietitian

We're looking for a passionate dietitian to join our team and help us make a difference in the lives of our clients. As part of our team, you'll provide high-quality nutrition and dietetic services using an evidence-based wellness approach. You collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional care to our clients and have the flexibility to develop goal-oriented programs tailored to each client's needs. You'll also have the support of a caring and knowledgeable team dedicated to helping you succeed. You will do

  • Develop and implement individual nutritional care plans based on assessing each client's needs.
  • Support and educate clients and families on nutritional principles, food selection, and economics.
  • Utilise evidence-based dietetic interventions to guide assessment, treatment, and referrals
  • Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver care
  • Monitor and document the effectiveness of the nutritional program
  • Participate in group programs and facilitate education for clients and community groups
  • Liaise with referral agencies and service providers
  • Ensure timely submission of Medicare and DVA claim forms 

You need to have

  • Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) registration and membership in the Dietitians Association of Australia
  • Good clinical and practical knowledge of dietetics and nutrition
  • Strong communication and counselling skills
  • Experience providing evidence-based assessment and planning appropriate interventions for clients
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • A current driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle
  • Up-to-date vaccinations against COVID-19.

Ideally, you also have

  • Comprehensive understanding of community-based service provision
  • Experience using a wellness and restorative approach to service provision.
  • Understanding of risk management, health and safety, and continuous quality improvement processes
